![]() ![]() The last and most despicable act is when Hawk Moth finds out Adrien is Chat Noir he has no remorse for his past actions, instead beating Chat Noir, emotionally abusing him and akumatizing him in order to try and get Ladybugs earrings. Remember Party Crasher where Gabriel seemed almost horrified that there were feeling of joy in his house? There is definitely something wrong here. The man can’t ever seem to stand seeing Adrien happy. I think there is an element of jealousy there too. This is all kinds of wrong in itself and shows just how selfish the man has become by sacrificing Adrien’s happiness for his own gains. (It’s important to note, Gabriel does not know Marinette is Ladybug at this point, but Adrien does.) Gabriel has zero regard in breaking is own son’s heart in order to create this ultimate akuma. In the alternate timeline where Adrien and Marinette are a couple Gabriel stoops to a new low by forcing Marinette to break up with his son in order to akumatized her. There has been a distinct turn in Gabriel’s character since Feast and he is becoming more evil. This is just pure power greed on Gabriel’s part and had nothing to do with saving Emilie. Over the course of the season he has become focused not only on the Ladybug and Cat Miraculous, but finding the Guardian and taking the whole Miracle Box. Keep in mind, this was only one timeline of events that could have happened. However, this episode shows us just how far Gabriel could sink as a person. ♦️Gabriel/Hawk Moth: I think it’s fair to say that many of us felt at least a little sorry for Gabe and his attempts to save his wife. Unfortunately, none of this timeline should ever have taken place when it did, which is why Bunnyx returns. She now knows that Chat is Adrien and falls into his arms. (Can we just acknowledge how awesome Gorilla is! It’s not the first time we have seen him soft on Adrien and he really is the only decent adult in that house) When Adrien runs after Marinette he sees an akuma and without a second thought transforms to cataclysm it. The heartbreak on both sides is devastating. Marinette knows how detrimental that would be for Adrien. We see them happy together until Gabriel interferes forcing Marinette to leave him by threatening to take him out of school. As I pointed out in my analysis of Puppeteer 2 it was really important to him that Marinette liked him. He told her he always felt she was more than a friend. I do believe though this confirmed his feeling towards Marinette. It’s obvious Adrien has been harbouring feelings for Marinette, but his blind loyalty to Ladybug always kept him at bay. ![]() When he realises Ladybug is Marinette he couldn’t be happier, running straight to her to confess his love. ♦️Adrienette: This episode really showed just what a beautiful person Adrien is. This sets off a chain reaction that affects the future. She doesn’t realise at this point that Adrien saw her. She takes too long, running back to sign her name on it before jumping out the window. ♦️The mistake: Marinette makes the decision to use her abilities as Ladybug to get into Adrien’s room in order to leave him a present. ♦️Production order: According to production order, this episode was supposed to air after ’Puppeteer 2’ then to be followed by ‘Felix’, ‘Ladybug’, ‘Heart Hunter’ and ‘Miracle Queen’. Let’s break down the episode and what we learned: Without a doubt, ‘Chat Blanc’ has been the most anticipated episode of season 3 and possibly in the history of Miraculous - and it didn’t disappoint! This super emotionally charged episode gave us a glimpse into an alternative reality where identities and secrets are revealed, and the aftermath of this information coming out at the wrong time. ⚠️Warning - This analysis contains spoilers for ‘Chat Blanc’ and the season finale ‘Battle of the Miraculous Parts 1 & 2’⚠️ ![]()
